Esther Stocker (*1974) sa venuje priestorovej abstrakcii a architektúre, ktorá návštevníka vťahuje do inej dimenzie.
Čiernobiele geometrické krajiny vznikajú násobením jednoduchých tvarov a foriem, horizontálnych a vertikálnych línií. Vytvára rytmické vzorce, ktoré podčiarkujú neústupnú povahu jej diel. Repetícia základných elementov, posúvanie horizontu a hra s perspektívou tvoria hĺbku a objem priestoru.

Jej inštalácie sú priamym pokračovaním abstraktných malieb a solitérnych sôch, ktoré rozvíja a rozkladá v priestore a následne aplikuje aj do architektúry či verejného priestoru. Podčiarkuje hravosť a aktivizuje návštevníka, ktorý svojou prítomnosťou a pohybom dotvára dynamiku a určuje hĺbku inštalácie samotnej. Determinuje tak "konečno" daného priestoru.

„Snažím sa nájsť veci, ktoré som nehľadala a práve v geometrii sa skrýva nepopierateľná pravda. Moje maľby a inštalácie sú zamerané najmä na zredukované geometrické štruktúry a ich schopnosť meniť sa. V tejto súvislosti ma zaujímajú kontrastné póly zmeny: že zmena môže viesť k rozvoju alebo ku kolapsu“, charakterizuje svoju tvorbu autorka.

Esther Stocker (*1974) focuses on spatial abstraction and architecture that pulls viewers into a different dimension. Black-and-white geometrical landscapes are created through multiplication of simple shapes and forms, horizontal as well as vertical lines. She creates rhythmical patterns that underline the unyielding character of her works. Repetition of basic elements, shifting of the horizon and playing with the perspective creates the depth as well as volume of the space.

Her installations represent a direct continuation of abstract paintings and solitaire sculptures that she develops and decomposes within the space and consequently also applies in architecture as well as the public space. She highlights playfulness, and stimulates the viewer to complement the dynamics and determine the depth of the installation itself by his or her own presence or movement. Thus she defines the „finite“ of the given space.

„I try to find things I was not looking for and there is solid truth in geometry. My paintings and installations focus on reduced geometrical structures and their ability to change. In this context I am interested in the contrasting poles of change: that it can lead to either development or collapse“, the artist explains her work.
